‘Jesuswalks’ showcase

10 July 2009

John’s artwork ‘faith-by-numbers’ was showcased in the JESUSWALKS exhibition in the forecourt of the Museum of Contemporary Art, West Circular Quay, from 15-20 July 2008.

JESUSWALKS was a public art exhibition of young and emerging Australian artistic talent. The exhibition took place in Sydney in July 2008 to raise funds for Youth Off The Streets — an organisation which offers a continuum of care for Australia’s underprivileged youth.

From July 15–20, thirty–three similar — yet dynamically different — fibreglass sculptures were displayed at iconic locations in Sydney including Darling Harbour, West Circular Quay, The Domain, Barangaroo (Millers Point), Bondi Beach, Hyde Park, North Sydney and Randwick Racecourse.

‘Faith-by-numbers’, a collaborative work with fellow Sydney artist and designer Sam Dunn, was auctioned at the conclusion of the exhibition, raining $6,500 for Youth Off The Streets.
